The Creative Culture of the North

Panel Five- http://fog.ccsf.cc.ca.us/~jcarpent/

Panel five is meant to have a contrasting idea in relation to the first panel one. It is the celebration of technology that has mostly risen from the north. In this panel the only person of color appears to be an Indian laborer, but his face is hard to see and indistinct.  This fresco also breaks into two parts; that of the civilized Anglo and that of the Anglo pursuing the ideal self which is illustrated at the top of the panel. This panel also suggests how a civilization can be easily manipulated and easily converted.
